Free Camp Host Tools That Actually Save You a Headache
I have run campgrounds long enough to know the difference between a tool you use and a tool that just sits in a folder. These three are the ones I actually reach for, and they are free.
First, the checklists. Opening a campground for the season is a hundred small jobs, and the one you forget is always the one a guest finds first. The opening checklist walks you through it in order. The essential gear checklist is the stuff I check before I trust a site to a guest. The Thanksgiving weekend checklist is for the busiest hosting weekend of the fall, when you do not have time to be figuring things out on the fly.
Second, the Campground Tycoon game. It is a 30-day campground sim, and it is more useful than it sounds. It forces you to think about sites, guests, and money the way a real season does, just without a real guest standing at your office door while you learn it.
Third, the Camp Host True Pay Calculator. Camp host pay looks simple until you add in the site, the perks, and the on-call hours. Put in your hourly rate, your hours, your site value, and your perks, and it shows you what you are really making per hour. A lot of hosts are surprised by that number, in both directions.
All three are free on the Camp Host Central store. Grab them, use them, and if they help, the Complete Bundle puts everything from the store in one place for $49, including the Playbook, the SOP Bundle, the social media calendar, and the rest.
